सैनिक परिवारों के लिए welfare की जानकारी केवल pension, ECHS या CSD तक सीमित नहीं होनी चाहिए. कई बार Army widows, dependents, orphaned children, battle casualty families या disabled soldiers’ families को ऐसी financial assistance की जानकारी समय पर नहीं मिलती, जिसके लिए वे eligible हो सकते हैं.
AWWA की official grants and assistance page के अनुसार AWWA Army fraternity के बड़े वर्ग के benefit के लिए social और financial security support देती है. इसमें deceased soldiers के families के लिए ex-gratia grants, widows के बच्चों के लिए education scholarships, distress grants, ASHA schools support और widows के socio-economic empowerment से जुड़े initiatives शामिल हैं.
इस article में हम AWWA से जुड़ी पांच important grants को simple language में समझेंगे: education grant, technical education grant, ex-gratia grant, daughter’s marriage grant और sewing machine grant.
Education grant क्या है?
AWWA education grant उन ladies के बच्चों के लिए है जो अपने husband की retirement के बाद widow हुई हैं. Official AWWA grants page के अनुसार ऐसी widowed ladies के children educational scholarship grant के लिए eligible हैं.
Current AWWA grants page पर education grant की enhanced rates इस प्रकार दी गई हैं:

यह assistance up to two children per academic year तक बताई गई है.
यह grant उन families के लिए बहुत useful हो सकती है जिनके बच्चे school, college या higher education में हैं और annual fees family budget पर pressure डालती है.
Technical education grant क्या है?
Technical education grant regular education grant से अलग है. यह उन children के लिए है जो technical या higher education pursue कर रहे हैं. AWWA grants page के अनुसार यह grant children of widows after retirement और उन disabled soldiers के children के लिए है जो medical grounds पर service से invalided out हुए हैं और कोई pension नहीं ले रहे हैं.
Professional courses के लिए amount ₹1,00,000 per child तक enhanced बताया गया है, up to two children in one academic year.
यह grant professional education जैसे engineering, medical, management, technical और higher education routes में जाने वाले eligible children के लिए बड़ा सहारा बन सकती है.
Education और technical education grant के लिए documents
AWWA grants page पर education और technical education grants के लिए ये documents listed हैं:
- Widow / dependant identity card
- Attested copy of discharge certificate
- Copy of PPO
- School / college identity card
- Previous year marksheet
- Current academic year tuition fee deposit receipt
Families को fee receipt, marksheet और identity documents पहले से संभालकर रखने चाहिए, क्योंकि incomplete documents claim processing में delay कर सकते हैं.
Ex-gratia grant क्या है?
Ex-gratia grant immediate financial relief से जुड़ी सहायता है. AWWA grants page के अनुसार ₹50,000 की one-time grant, applicable from 15 June 2026, Army के all ranks के उन next of kin को दी जाती है जिनकी death in harness होती है.
इस grant की सबसे important बात process है. Official page के अनुसार यह amount unit / formation / institution / establishment द्वारा soldier के demise पर immediately दिया जाना है और बाद में AWWA से reimbursed किया जाना है.
यह सहायता किसी परिवार के दुख को कम नहीं कर सकती, लेकिन immediate financial pressure के समय एक dignified support जरूर बन सकती है.
Daughter’s marriage grant क्या है?
Daughter’s marriage grant marriage-related financial relief है. AWWA grants page के अनुसार यह grant widows, dependants और orphaned children की marriage के लिए financial relief के रूप में दी जाती है. Amount ₹50,000 है, और यह up to two daughters के लिए बताया गया है.
इस grant के लिए AWWA page पर ये documents listed हैं:
- Widow / dependent identity card
- Attested copy of discharge certificate
- Copy of PPO
- Marriage card
Marriage card और dependent proof पहले से ready रखना चाहिए. Claim से पहले latest procedure concerned welfare office से verify करना बेहतर रहेगा.
Sewing machine grant क्या है?
Sewing machine grant livelihood और self-employment support से जुड़ी assistance है. AWWA grants page के अनुसार यह grant wards of battle casualty, non-fatal, या eligible individual himself के लिए है.
Amount 50% cost या ₹6,000 maximum बताया गया है. इस grant को respective Record Office के through process करना है.
Amount भले छोटा लगे, लेकिन self-employment शुरू करने की कोशिश कर रही family के लिए यह practical help हो सकती है.
Penury grant को भी समझना जरूरी है
AWWA grants page पर Penury Grant भी listed है. इसके अनुसार President AWWA, Executive Committee की recommendation पर उन cases में one-time discretionary grant sanction कर सकती हैं जो economic distress में हैं और जिन्हें किसी अन्य agency से financial relief नहीं मिला है.
यह उन families के लिए important है जिनकी situation किसी fixed grant category में सीधे fit नहीं होती, लेकिन financial distress genuine है.
Application form और जरूरी caution
AWWA की official grants page पर common application form download link दिया गया है. इस form में soldier particulars, applicant / NOK details, family financial particulars, bank details, education details, school / college certification और countersignature sections शामिल हैं.
Application form में यह भी लिखा है कि information blank न छोड़ी जाए और block letters का use किया जाए. Form में education grant application की last date 31 December every year भी mention है.
लेकिन यहां एक important caution है. Current AWWA grants page पर enhanced rates दिख रही हैं, जैसे education grant के लिए ₹20,000 / ₹28,000 / ₹40,000 / ₹50,000 और technical education grant के लिए ₹1,00,000. वहीं downloadable form में कुछ older rates भी दिखाई देते हैं. इसलिए applicants को form submit करने से पहले latest applicable amount और eligibility AWWA / Record Office / ZSB / concerned welfare channel से verify करनी चाहिए.
Families claim से पहले क्या करें?
Claim process शुरू करने से पहले eligible families को ये practical steps follow करने चाहिए:

- Record Office / AWWA / ZSB से eligibility confirm करें.
- PPO, discharge certificate और identity card की clear copies रखें.
- Education grant के लिए marksheet, school / college ID और fee receipt ready रखें.

- Sewing machine grant के लिए bill / cost proof और Record Office procedure confirm करें.
